I’m Philip Turner, the trainee supervisor partner here at Fladgate.

My role involves recruitment, overseeing training and confirming to the SRA that you have met the standards required to qualify.

It’s something I take seriously; my responsibility to you, to the firm and to the profession, to ensure you’re fully equipped with what you need to qualify as a solicitor.

To get a training contract at Fladgate you’ll be bright, hardworking and eager to learn from everyone here.

Our trainees, like the rest of us here, aren’t made from one mould. They are individuals but team players, self-starters but capable of working in teams, serious but don’t take themselves too seriously.

Many of our clients are entrepreneurs and, as such, they expect their lawyers to give clear, direct and commercially sensible advice.

If you apply to us, be concise on the application form and, if we ask you to interview, be genuine, be yourself.

When you come to work here, work hard, learn from us, but retain your personality; that’s why we offered you the job.

Thank you for your interest in Fladgate and good luck in what is a satisfying, enjoyable and hopefully lucrative career!
